Sondra Graff came to design circuitously through the world of dance with an unanticipated stop at Parsons School of Design. Her specialty in promotion for the performing arts has led to years of creative and collaborative work. She received her MFA in graphic design from VCFA, and is thrilled to be a part of this community of artists, designers and makers. Sondra is also an educator and has been teaching at FIT since 1990. When she is not designing or teaching, she can be found in the Gunks, at times, dangling from a cliff.

Sondra Graff 1

Title: Ode to mm

To return, again and again – the journey, a perceived continuum.
Our imprint worn, as treads reflect the traverse of time.

Always the same, forever different – vantage points expand, contract and refocus. An interior journey, the request for one hundred, more complex than perceived.

23” square

mixed media: plaster, ashes, espresso, malbec and bleach

Sondra Graff 2Title: Balance

Tenuous and elusive, inspired by the absurdity of chance.
A juxtaposition of the worn and intrinsically fragile.

12” length, 3” width, 5” height

mixed media: car part, egg, brass, espresso and malbec
